Sahar Biniaz won't be able to represent her Nation at the Miss Universe anymore because she has a calcaneus. She will be replaced by the first runner-up, Adwoa Yamoah, 24 years old.
Miss Universe 2012 is the 61st Miss Universe pageant, and will be held on December 19, 2012 in PH Live at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States. Leila Lopes from Angola will crown her successor at the end of the event. 89 countries and territories are expected to participate in this year pageant and broadcasted live in participant countries and teritorries by NBC, Telemundo & the international broadcasters.

Ana Luisa König grew up in a rural area, 30 km north of Santiago, Chile. She enjoys outdoor sports such as walking and longboarding. Ana Luisa also loves good music, conversation, and having company. Currently, she is studying fashion design and would love to one day own a textiles factory.

Ji Dan Xu grew up in JiLin Province where she was raised by her grandmother and 11 cousins. She has been dancing since the age of 6, with a special love for the Flamenco form. She’s played piano since the age of 3 and has competed on a national level. Ji Dan Xu loves traveling, baking, and women’s fashion. One day she hopes to have her own fashion brand.

Daniella was born and raised in the city of Barranquilla, Colombia. Her interests include environmentalism, learning languages, music, and traveling. Daniella’s dream job is to become a famous TV anchor woman, or an Ambassador for Colombia. Daniella is proud to say that she has gotten to volunteer with more than 65 charity foundations.

Nazareth grew up in the town of Tambor de Alajela. She enjoys reading, exercise, music and dancing. She currently is studying to be a pharmacist at UCIMED in San Jose, Costa Rica. Nazareth’s career goal is to create a chain of pharmacies in Costa Rica.

Elizabeta was born in a small village called Vrbanja. Growing up during the summer, she worked on her parent’s farm milking cows and cleaning the stables. Elizabeta enjoys reading, horseback riding, playing volleyball and hiking. She currently is studying Economics and Management at Zagreb School of Economics and Management in Croatia.

Monifa Jansen likes to broaden her knowledge of the world by traveling. At the moment she spends her days preparing herself for the Miss Universe pageant; this includes a lot of exercise.
Monifa learned to play guitar from her father at a very young age, and also indulges in other art forms such as playing the piano, singing, painting, and dancing. She’s trained in ballet, jazz, hip-hop, and her nation’s traditional dances such as the Waltz, Mazurka, Danza, Tumba and Tambú.

Ioanna was born in the coastal city of Paphos. She enjoys reading, exercising and spending time with family and friends. Ioanna currently is studying at the European University Cyprus. One day she hopes to work in either aesthetics or acting.

Tereza Chlebovská‘s passions in life involve music. She is an avid singer, who also enjoys dancing, and playing the piano. She also enjoys playing volleyball and other sports with her family. Currently Tereza is studying Music at the University Ostrava. One day she hopes to achieve her dreams of becoming a TV personality, singer, or model.

Josefine Hewitt was born in Copenhagen but raised in the city of Esbjerg along the west coast of Denmark. Josefine is very fond of nature, and spends as much time as she can enjoying it, hoping to potentially become a veterinarian one day. Josefine’s other love in life is fashion, and she would also be happy to work in this industry.

Dulcita Lieggi’s passion in life is acting. In her spare time, she enjoys writing web-articles and watching movies. Although born in Santo Domingo, she spent her childhood in several different places, including Italy and upstate New York. Because of her strong interest in film, Dulcita is planning on going back to school to study production so she can be familiar with both sides of the camera.

Carolina Andrea Aguirre Pérez grew up in a house that was always full of music, as her mother is a professional singer. An avid singer as well, Carolina has received voice lessons from her mother throughout her life. Some of her other interests include working out and learning ballet, jazz and flamenco dance styles. Currently, Carolina is studying Journalism and hopes that she can somehow incorporate her learned writing skills in her dream job as a performer.

Ana Yancy Clevel enjoys playing the flute and contemporary styles of dance. She is currently a student at the Universidad de El Salvador, studying Nursery School Education. Her career ambition is to one day open a child development center for education.

Natalie Korneitsik was grew up in Estonia, where she’d spend her summers in Belarus. Natalie was a very well-rounded child, visiting theatre schools, doing gymnastics, playing tennis, and participating in school events. Her deepest interests are photography, piano and writing. One day, Natalie hopes to be somehow involved in organizing, marketing, and developing shows and events.

Helen Getachew grew up in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, where she had a very spiritual upbringing. She enjoys reading the Bible, spending time with family and friends and the cafe, and fashion.
