You hardly need slimming black! Slender Anne Hathaway displays her slim post-Les Miserables frame in a LBD

Little black dress: Slender Anne Hathaway slipped into a figure-hugging black dress as she hosted the 2012 Women's Media Awards in New York Tuesday evening A super-slim Anne Hathaway stepped out on the red carpet on Tuesday night, a day after revealing the extreme measures she took to look 'near death' for her upcoming role in Les Miserables. While the 29-year-old's hair, which she cut for the film, has started to grow out so it can be styled into a cute pixie do, the Princess Diaries actress remains very slim. The newlywed star lost 25lbs off her already slender frame to play the role of factory worker turned prostitute Fantine in the big screen version of the hit musical.
Extreme: Anne recently revealed the extreme measures she took to look 'near death' for her upcoming role in Les Miserables Anne wore a three-quarter length simple black dress to attend the Women's Media Awards at New York's Gustavino's on Tuesday evening. The actress spiced up her simple dress with quirky painted nails - which were cheekily all red, bar her middle finger which was white with a red tip. Joining Anne on the red carpet was Oprah Winfrey Network host Lisa Ling, who added some edge to her outfit with a large gold cuff and a leopard print statement clutch.

Newly weds: Adam Schulman share a private moment Anne managed to take some time out from hosting duties however, to spend some time with her husband of two months Adam Schulman at the sit-down dinner. The stunning actress revealed to Vogue that it was Shulman who supported her through the extreme diet she was put on for Les Miserables - which saw her eat just two pieces of dried oatmeal paste a day. 'The first time I really threw everything into a part, which was when I did Rachel Getting Married, there was no one waiting for me when I got back. This time, Adam was there,' she told the magazine. 'He gets what I do and who I am and supports me in it, and that's pretty awesome.'
