But Suri Cruise outdid herself on Sunday morning as she stepped out in an ensemble that covered every hue in the spectrum from dusty rose to bubblegum to shocking hot pink.
The precocious six-year-old was spotted wearing a pink padded coat, short skirt, scarf, earmuffs and sheepskin boots but was barelegged despite the chilly December weather - perhaps because she could not find any matching tights.
Even mother Katie Holmes got in on the act, with a cerise sweater peeking out from underneath her blue coat.
The actress, who just celebrated her 34th birthday, looked tired as she clutched her daughter's arm while crossing the street.
Katie has been starring nightly in the Broadway show Dead Accounts since November and with matinees also scheduled at the weekends, the single mum looked like she could use a break.
Katie has also been busy making the most of her time her daughter ahead of Christmas, as she will be spending the holiday with her father and half-siblings Conor and Isabella in Los Angeles.
And the little girl must have been very, very good this year as she is rumoured be getting a $24,000 Grand Victorian Playhouse complete with running water and electricity, a sun-room, an eat-in-kitchen, a media room and intercoms can connect the playhouse to the main house.
Also on the list is a £6,000 miniature Mercedes Benz, an iPad mini and some new additions to her wardrobe, with a Chloe fur coat and a Ralph Lauren dress for Christmas, according to reports.
