She has opted for daring looks for the last two Les Miserables premieres in London and Tokyo, and managed to pull them off.
But Anne Hathaway certainly missed the mark on the New York red-carpet event for the much-anticipated movie.
The 30-year-old, who portrays factory worker Fantine who is forced to turn to prostitution, put the wrong heel forward in a pair of Tom Ford bondage-style gladiator stilettos.
Peek-a-boo: Anne moved her dress to the side to show off the cut-out detailing at the knee
The shoes were custom made for her using vegan leather.
The heavily-buckled heels trailed all the way up the actress's legs to her thigh and featured cut-out detailing at the knee.
The footwear also disastrously clashed with her black dress by the same designer.
The gown in question was equally outlandish, with it's odd parachute-style cape and ruched detailing.
The taffeta ensemble featured a large slit up the side to reveal Anne's standout stilettos.
Golden girl: Meanwhile Amanda Seyfriend went for a more conventional look on the red-carpet in a stunning strapless gown, featuring a gold embellished bust and black flowing skirt
Anne also opted for a vampy look with her hair and make-up, slicking her brunette locks, which were cut into a crop for the movie, back and wore lashings of red lipstick.
Meanwhile Amanda Seyfriend went for a more conventional look on the red-carpet in a stunning strapless gown, featuring a gold embellished bust and black flowing skirt.
The 27-year-old accentuated her tiny waist by cinching the ensemble in at the waist with a tortoiseshell belt.
Dramatic: Amanda's dress featured a stunning train
The blonde beauty, who plays Fantine's daughter Cosette in the film, also wore her flaxen locks slicked back, but opted for a Heidi-style plaited bun.
The porcelain-skin star did a smokey eye and nude lipstick for make-up and wore gold studs in her ears.
Ladies: Amanda and Anne posed with lady in silver Samantha Barks, who plays Éponine, and ten-year-old Isabelle Allen, who plays the younger version of Cosette
The stunning Mamma Mia star posed on the red-carpet with both co-stars Sacha Baron Cohen, who plays the role of Monsieur Thenardier and Russell Crowe, who portrays Inspector Javert.
British comedian Sacha, who has in the past graced the red-carpet as alter-egos Ali G and Borat, looked dapper in a black suit, white shirt and red tie combination, while Russell opted for a black suit, an open-neck white shirt and black overcoat.
Meanwhile, the main male lead, Hugh Jackman looked as dashing as ever in a black pinstripe suit featuring satin trim.
Slinky: Barks looked sensational in her slinky and low-cut metallic gown
