Sugar splurge: Katie Holmes and Suri Cruise picked up some treats as they grabbed nut-free cookies from Eleni's in New York City on Friday With another storm hitting the East Coast and temperatures set to plummet, New Yorkers have been breaking out their cold weather gear. And style maven Katie Holmes was spotted out again on Friday with her latest must-have accessory - a pair of fluffy, white earmuffs. But after picking up her daughter Suri up from school, the newly single star did not even have a chance to put the cosy ear warmers on before her famously precocious six-year-old made a grab for them.

Suri meanwhile sported some woolly pink mittens that matched her pink leopard-print backpack and her padded pink coat. The pair were clearly in the mood for treating themselves after a difficult week following the devastation caused by Superstorm Sandy, as Katie also toted a bag from Eleni's a popular nut-free cookie shop in the city.
