Aren't you cold? Lady Gaga was spotted out in New York wearing her fur coat half off and a stomach baring crop top on Wednesday night Her taste for fur has led to calls to boycott her music. But Lady Gaga defied her critics once more on Wednesday night as she stepped out in a fur coat and hat. The 26-year-old pop singer added her own twist to her all-black ensemble, wearing her coat half off her shoulder and baring her stomach in a cropped top. Gaga was joining a host of stars at a private Versace dinner in New York. While her taste for fur will be seen as acceptable at the designer's table, not everyone is so accepting. She angered animal rights activists when she took to her blog to defend her use of fur earlier this year. 'I am choosing not to comment on whether or not the furs I purchase are faux fur-pile or real because I would think it hypercritical not to acknowledge the python, ostrich, cow hide, leather, lamb, alligator, 'kermit' and not to mention meat, that I have already worn,' Gaga explained. No apologies: Gaga has made it clear she feels no need to stop wearing fur, even going so far as to condemn the tactics of pressure group Peta 'I have truly always stayed away from skinned fur, especially as I have never been able to afford a nice one, but this does not mean my morals are rigid and that I won't bend at the sight of an absolute art piece of a coat. I have no chains about this.' Gaga is famous for her 'meat' dress, making her views on fur perhaps unsurprising. She also Peta's campaign against fur. 'I do not support violent, abusive, and childish campaigns for ANY CAUSE,' she said, in a dig at the charity. source: dailymail
